Do you work with clients outside of your local area?

Yes, we are happy to serve clients both in and out of our local area.  Depending on the nature of a custom program, we can conduct our services and connect with you remotely via telephone, e-mail, snail mail, video chat, and/or a virtual classroom.  For any engagements that require travel outside of our immediate area, we will prepare a proposal and/or quote that reflects an additional fee for travel accommodations.

What delivery options are available for a custom program?

Our custom programs vary in nature, according to clients’ needs and location, but can include the following delivery options (or a mix thereof):  private workshops, lectures – discussions, experiential learning games, case analysis – discussions, supplemental readings, reflective assignments, graphic facilitation, keynote speaker(s), individual coaching, group coaching, executive retreat(s), and a virtual classroom.

How does a custom program compare to a consulting project?

Given the similar nature between our custom programs and a typical consulting project, we consider our custom programs to be one and the same and, thereby, use the terms interchangeably.  With a custom program, we leverage the skills, knowledge, and experience of our entire team in order to help meet the unique needs of your company or organization.  Since our custom programs are completely flexible in design, no two custom programs are ever the same, and offer each client a one-of-kind learning experience.

What is the standard process like for a custom program?

With a custom program, the process begins by completing our interest form here, which collects information regarding your current situation and helps our company become familiar with what challenges your organization can use help with.  When your form is received, we will review your information and make plans to schedule a phone and/or in-person meeting, where we will go over further details regarding the custom program you are interested in.  Once we are more familiar with your needs and the outcomes you are looking for, we will draft a proposal for your custom program and provide you with a free, no-obligation quote.  If the proposal is agreed upon, we will provide your organization with an invoice, and proceed to get started with the delivery of the program, whether it is an engagement that lasts only one day, one week, one month, or even up to one year or longer, all depending on what type of solution is needed to overcome the challenges at hand and meet the specific goals, needs, and/or objectives of your company or organization.

What kind of confidentiality can be expected with a custom program?

To honor the privacy of your group or organization, we adhere to strict and full confidentiality regarding any potentially sensitive information that is divulged throughout the course of a custom program.  For example, with respect to any testing, the results of any test we conduct are all held confidential, and the choice to distribute said results is left up to the individual(s) or group(s) that they were directly obtained from. On an organizational level, if a client’s custom program is ever used as an example and/or case study, we will make sure to first obtain permission from the organization before any type of use occurs.  If permission is granted, we will also take care not to have any personal identifiers attached to the data that is disclosed, as we hold client privacy in the highest regard.

How many facilitators are usually involved in a custom program?

The number of facilitators largely depends on the scope of a custom program; in some cases, one facilitator may suffice, but in other cases, either a team of two (or more) may be involved in fulfilling all the different components of a custom program.  If you would like more information regarding the delivery of a custom program, please complete our interest form here, and let us know what type of support you are looking for.  From there, we can draft a proposal with a free, no-obligation quote and let you know which individual(s) would be assigned to your custom program.

How can your intervention tools be adapted to serve our needs?

In our custom programs, we utilize The Leadership Challenge® and The Leadership Practices Inventory® (LPI®) as our main intervention tools.  These tools are a great fit for our custom program applications, as they can be fully adapted to your organization, and used to help address any challenges or opportunities that you are experiencing.  Both tools can even be mapped to any mission and/or vision statement for further benefit.  This type of targeted approach helps to make a training engagement much more effective for clients, especially when compared to solutions that use a one-size-fits-all approach instead.

Can you tell us more about the graphic facilitation delivery option in a custom program?

During one of our training engagements, it is not uncommon for clients to have either one or more “aha!” moments, where ideas, solutions, or a brand-new way of looking at things will suddenly materialize, seemingly out of thin air.  These “aha!” moments are sparks of creativity and clarity that can often produce game-changing breakthroughs for an individual, group, or organization.  With our graphic facilitation option, we make it a point to capture these powerful moments and translate them into visual aids to help support your overall goals.  So, instead of having these moments be forgotten or lost in the shuffle, our graphic facilitator will help turn your “aha!” moments into real, tangible take-aways, in the form of posters, flyers, handouts, storyboards, and more, where they can be used as an aid for reflection, reinforcement, and/or decision-making.

Can you tell us more about the executive retreat delivery option in a custom program?

Executive retreats provide you and your group with an opportunity to break away from the usual routine and step into a transformative learning environment that is more conducive to growth.  Groups typically range from 10 to 24 participants, with retreats spanning anywhere between one and three days in duration.  We base our retreats out of the South Texas area, which includes the sunny, subtropical paradise of South Padre Island.  If your group or organization may be interested in a beachside retreat, please note that we offer a special three-day version of our flagship workshop, The Leadership Challenge®, that is perfectly suited for a South Padre Island get-away.  With an executive retreat, we handle all the arrangements on your behalf, that way your group can stay focused on learning, team-building, action-planning, and collaborating more closely with one another in a more casual, intimate setting.  The positive momentum that is generated from a retreat can often be carried back to the workplace and have an immediate effect on group alignment, group cohesion, and overall buy-in from group members with respect to organizational goals.

Can you tell us more about the virtual classroom delivery option in a custom program?

With a virtual classroom, we create an online learning space that is specifically designed for your group or organization.  A virtual classroom enhances a training initiative by giving your group access to a secure area in which they can share information, exchange ideas, and dive more deeply into a custom program.  Depending on a clients’ needs, a virtual classroom can be used to facilitate online discussions, host living documents, issue supplemental readings, administer reflective assignments, and supply slides, handouts, articles, audio clips, video files, and more to participants.  To ensure your privacy, please note that our virtual classrooms are hosted on a password-protected directory, that way all the information that is shared remains fully confidential.
